"Freedom is a scent, like the top of a new born baby's head". This is so very true when you think about the whole Internet marketing scenario. It’s a common concept that people think of financial freedom by owning their own successful
business. This may be true but I don’t agree with it 100%.For example, Lets say, you owned a successful IT business 8-10 years ago and it was extremely successful. All of a sudden because of the global downturn, it bottomed out and you started to lose money as quick as you were making it. Are you financially secure now with residual income? I don’t think so.
Internet marketing is so very different in the respect that if you stay in the game long enough to build a successful down line, you will eventually be financially secure. Ok you may say that a downturn may hit internet marketing also but if you research the market, Internet marketing has boomed since it has evolved. It is here to stay. Once you get the scent that residual income awaits, you will start to devote all your energy and more into achieving your dream. Internet marketing gives you financial freedom that no other company type can offer. You could go on vacation for 2 months, return and see that your commissions might have grown in the meantime!. Financial freedom for me is earning while on vacation, while
sleeping, while in hospital, 24 hours around the clock.
The one drawback that you probably have guessed is positioning yourself to earn this residual income. This definitely is the hardest part and where the biggest percentage of opt-out's occur. What you have to understand is that the payoff for the patience and time you put in initially to get your business off the ground is huge. There have been a lot of instances where an affiliate opted out in the initial stages because he did not think the progress was where it should have been. It transpired thereafter, that if he had remained in the game, since he had sponsored energetic affiliates, he would have earned huge residual income from their efforts. He solely needed to maintain his position. I wonder does he have trouble sleeping at night! It may take 6-12 months before you register a profit in your business, but freedom awaits you if you stay committed. Don’t end up being the guy that decided to opt out and has regretted it ever since. I reiterate residual income awaits you only by staying in the game.

How You Can Make Residual Income from Home
Would you like to make money even when you don't go to work? The secret is to have your work continue to pay you even when you stop. A machine that once started continues to operate even when you aren't there. It's called residual income, and you can make it too.
Residual income means that once you have set the wheels in motion you can continue to collect money - possibly forever! Who wouldn't want to have a business that puts money in your pocket day or night, whether you are working or not?
Is residual income only a dream? For many enterprising individuals it is not just a dream - it's a reality. The concept is simple - Do the hard work first and collect on it indefinitely. By understanding the business models that this principle applies to you can also start making residual income.
CREATE A PRODUCT FOR OTHERS TO SELL
Writing a book tops the list for one of the most popular methods of creating residual income, but you can also create other products such as software programs or even a physical product. The key is that you want the business as automated as possible so that once you've set it up you don't have to continue working as hard.
How does it work? Traditionally if you write a book you sign with a publishing company for royalties or sell your book yourself. The hardest work is creating the book. However, once the book was finished you can continue collecting profits on every sale.
The same is true if you choose to sell a product that is made and delivered by another company - often called drop shipping. By creating a sales page on the internet that will appeal to your audience you can continue to collect profits on the sales of your product or book without having to do the work each time.
If you have a special knowledge about a particular topic, or if you are skilled at research and writing, you can likely find a topic worth writing about. If you need to sell with little overhead you can even write a book in PDF format that can be downloaded rather than traditionally printed and shipped to the buyer.
If you choose drop shipping of a physical product, find something you can create an interesting website around. Share lots of information with the prospective buyer and create a professional sales page. With the proper combination of marketing skills and interested customers you can create a system that works even when you don't!
REFERRAL AND TIERED AFFILIATE PROGRAMS
Many online business use affiliate programs as an easy way to create a sales force. If you are good at promoting a program or product to others you may find that you can generate profits from a second tier sales force that you recruit.
This form of residual income is also common in other businesses including selling makeup, natural cleaners and insurance products. Whatever your passion there is likely a business that will appeal to you.
Once you've created a sales force you can start collecting a percentage of their sales. With hard work and dedication you may be able to rest from your efforts while your team continues to work for you. Creating your own book or product AND recruiting a profitable sales force combine for the ideal business model for making residual income!

What Is An Internet Business Promoter?
An internet business promoter is a program that can help you attain higher page rankings on search engines. In other words, it is an application that will help you optimize for the search engines.
If you have been operating an internet business for any period of time, you know that optimizing for the search engines is one of your main tasks. For the obvious reasons, you want as many people to know about your site as possible. More people mean more business, more business means more profits.
Whenever potential visitors use search engines to find the sites they want, they will usually only visit the sites that rank the highest. If you are ranked number 112320 out of 237,899 results, you are out of luck; and pretty soon, out of business. Most visitors will not bother to look at a site ranked so low. An internet business promoter (IBP) can help you ameliorate this situation.
Internet business promoters offer a variety of features, which usually include the following:
Search engine optimization, ranking, and submission tools. Your main objective in using internet business promoters is to improve your rankings on the search engines, so obviously your IBP should include a set of tools geared towards this goal. IBP optimization programs analyze the current top search results for particular keywords on the search engines you select. After the analysis is complete, the application will generate a report that details the changes you have to make to achieve the same results. It is important that your IBP optimization program use up-to-date information for its analysis; it should preferably operate in real-time. A good IBP will allow you unlimited use in terms choosing keywords, checking rankings, and so forth. It should also allow you to analyze the various elements that comprise your site.
Online directory submission tools. IBP programs also allow you to automate or semi-automate various tasks, such as submitting your sites to online directories. Automatic submissions work in exactly the way you would submit your site, there is no appreciable difference except that you don’t personally have to do the work. By decreasing the amount of work that needs to be done, you will be able to increase the number of directories you actually enlist in. This in turn will help you generate more site traffic.
Miscellaneous applications. Most IBP’s also come bundled with various applications; usually those related to crafting reports. These reports are intended to be shown to your various clients. The reports are often fully customizable. You can alter the cover sheet, the title of the report, your business logo, the company name, the company’s address, your company URL, and the recipient's address.
By using an internet business promoter, you are assured of better ranking results. So why wait? Think of purchasing one today. It will be an investment that will more than pay for itself in the long run.

On the other hand, you will have so many options at your disposal that you may have a hard time choosing the ones that you want to work with. But then again, this is a great problem to have!
When it comes to the best affiliate programs most people look at how much money they can earn. Most recently, Panda Software has been shown to have one of the best affiliate programs in the business. In addition, they offer a free start up program, as well as fixed commissions that are easy to understand.
Another reputable name that offers one of the best affiliate programs is Good Time Entertainment. They give anybody the opportunity to earn 15% commissions by promoting their products via ads on your site. Just a few of the products that they sell include: Billy Blanks Tae Bo, The Firm, Walk Away the Pounds, and Animated Classics Collection. All of these carry a top notch name which will surely entice people into buying the products.
Finding the best affiliate programs is all about finding who pays the best commission, and which programs you will work best with. If you have a site that is promoting money transfers, you will be better suited working with the Western Union affiliate program. By attempting to work Good Time Entertainment on a site that promotes money transfers you will probably get nowhere.
Overall, affiliate programs are a great way to make money. Since the majority of affiliate programs are free, you have no reason to not get started today.

Affiliate Marketing for Home Internet Business – How to get started
Affiliate marketing is one of the most popular ways for home business owners to promote their companies. But at the same time, affiliate marketing is a great way for anybody to start a home based business. So as you can see, affiliate marketing works from both sides of the business world. If you have never heard of this sort of marketing technique you are not alone. Generally speaking, it has just become popular among the masses over the past couple of years. And even though there are a lot of people that are using this technique, there are still many more that are out in the dark.
The most common reason that people do not get started in affiliate marketing is because they are not aware of what it entails. They are afraid to give it a shot because they simply think that it will be a waste of time. The good thing is that affiliate marketing is not hard to understand. The basic definition is that affiliate marketing is a method of promoting websites in a way that affiliates are rewarded for sending visitors or customers to other sites. As far as affiliate marketing is concerned, compensation varies depending on the type of program that you are involved with. In some cases you will get paid or have to pay for each visitor that you send or receive. In other cases, compensation is based purely on customers buying products or services.
If you are looking for a way to promote your home business, affiliate marketing can help. What you will do is find affiliates that are willing to promote your site to others for you. The good thing about this is that you do not have to pay them unless they meet the specifications that are set forth; this usually includes pay per click, or pay per sale. This means that you will get a lot of promotion without having to do any work on your own. Most people prefer pay per sale programs because they will never have to pay out any money unless they get a sale.
On the other side of things, there are many people that make a living by affiliate marketing. The way this is done is by getting involved with as many programs as possible. You can then set up different websites that will drive traffic to your affiliate’s sites. When this happens, you will get paid!
Affiliate marketing for a home internet business is a great way to get promotion. You do not be one of those people that overlook this option because it sounds too complicated. Affiliate marketing is worth a shot. Who knows, it may be all you need to take your earnings to the next level!

Passive Income,How to Earn More and Work Less
I found this article from Scott Allen,
Your Guide to Entrepreneurs.
Do you want to continue working 50, 70, 100 hours a week the rest of your life?
Good! Neither do I.
Do you want to be able to take time off whenever you want to, without worrying about what's going to happen to your business?
So do I!
There's a saying in the corporate world: "Don't make yourself irreplaceable. If you can't be replaced, you can't be promoted." As an entrepreneur, this is still true in its own way. Let's think of "being promoted" as earning more and working less. You can raise your prices, but until you can remove yourself from being directly involved in doing the work that generates the income, there's always going to be a limit to how much you can earn, and it can only increase very slowly.
Passive income, on the other hand, is income that does not require your direct involvement. Some kinds of passive income you may be familiar with include owning rental property, royalties on an invention or creative work, and network marketing. If you want to earn more, work less, and have a decent retirement, you're going to have to start creating income streams that do not require your direct involvement. Whether you're just starting your business, or you've been running it a while, the sooner you start thinking about how you are going to shift your business model to create more passive income, the sooner you can achieve personal and financial freedom.
Let's look at two basic types of passive income, and a third type of income that, while technically not passive, is a key strategy for earning more and working less.
Residual Income
Residual income is revenue that occurs over time from work done one time. Some examples include:
An insurance agent who gets commission every year when a customer renews his policy
A network marketing or direct sales rep's income from her direct customers when they reorder product every month
An aerobics instructor who produces a video and sells it at the gyms where she teaches
A marketing consultant who creates a workbook and sells it in e-book format on the Internet
A photographer who makes his photos available through a stock photography clearinghouse and gets paid a royalty whenever someone buys one of his images
A restaurant or retail owner who has grown to the point of hiring a trustworthy manager
As you can see, there are many different ways to generate residual income across a wide variety of businesses. It may be recurring income from the same customers, or the sales of a product to new customers. It may require no personal involvement whatsoever, such as an e-book sold on a web site, or it may require some personal interaction, such as the insurance agent calling the customer to remind them about their renewal and ask them if they want to change any of their coverage. Often, it's something that you can delegate to an assistant.
Note that this is different from merely recurring income. Recurring income may still require your involvement to earn the income, e.g., a coach or consultant on a monthly retainer, or a caterer who delivers lunch every Monday to the local school board. While this "active recurring income" offers welcome stability, it also tends to tie you down, and you still have limits on your earning capacity based on your own personal production capacity.
Leveraged Income
Leveraged income leverages the work of other people to create income for you. Some examples of leveraged income include:
An e-book author selling her e-book through affiliates who promote the product
A network marketer who builds a downline and receives commissions on the sales made by people in his downline
A general contractor who makes a profit margin on the work done by sub-contractors
Franchising your business model to other entrepreneurs (the ultimate leveraged income)
Again, there are many different models in many different businesses. The key is that you are making money off of other people's labor, rather than primarily your own. Note that leveraged income may or may not also be residual income. When you combine them, that's even better.
Active Leveraged Income
This is a term I use to describe income that requires your direct participation, but that you can make more money by having more people involved. This generally involves a one-time event, such as:
A seminar or class
A conference or convention
Concerts and dance recitals
Raves and other parties
Although these require your direct participation, your earning potential is much higher than if someone were just paying you a direct hourly rate. Fill a room with 1,000 people paying $50 each and you can cover your facility cost, promotional cost, and staffing fees and still have a nice chunk of change left over.
Applying It
Now is the time to think about how to apply this in your business. Can you create a product that people will buy over and over again? Can you engage others to sell your product? How could you make money off the work of others?
The sooner you answer these questions, the sooner you'll have financial and personal freedom.

Work from Home Business on a limited budget
In starting a home-based business on a limited budget, you will find that there are things you will need for advertising and marketing and one of those items is stationary. How do you solve the challenge of placing an address on the stationary without exposing where your home is? Normally when people see a post office box, they do not think of very reputable companies. Is it safe to place your home address on the stationary?
Most individuals who have started a home-based business do not have much concern over placing their home address on the stationary. There really is nothing to worry about and most people will be a bit jealous that you are able to do this rather than thinking they want to come over to your home and harass you. Look at what your motivation is in wanting to withhold your address. Is it to discourage unwanted visitors at your doorstep? If this is the case, be selective as to where you place your home address. Use a post office box for advertising and materials that you use for marketing. Use your home address with the post office box on other items. Decide what you are trying to accomplish with advertising your address. If you receive shipments at home then you need to have a physical address listed.
The purpose of using stationery is to communicate that you have a solid business and are here for the long term. This is reflected in the type of paper you use to the color you choose for your stationery. Always invest in this aspect of your business. Your stationery reflects you remember that as you are deciding on low-quality paper or a higher quality paper. Your investment in how you look to others will come back to you. Make sure you have matching envelopes. You do not want this great looking stationery in envelopes that you bought at your corner market. Your typeface should not be too small or too large. If your typeface is too small, it signals that you are not quite sure about yourself and your business. If your typeface is too large, it may come off being to overpowering and people will turn away.
Think of your stationery the same way you would if you were preparing for a job interview. When you are preparing to interview you pick out a color that reflects power and courage but not overstated. You make sure your appearance shows that you are confident and capable of performing the job description. This same principle applies to the stationery you use for your business. Often times this is the first thing a client or customer will see about your business. What do you want it to say about your products?

If your typeface is too small, it signals that you are not quite sure about yourself and your business. If your typeface is too large, it may come off being to overpowering and people will turn away.
Think of your stationery the same way you would if you were preparing for a job interview. When you are preparing to interview you pick out a color that reflects power and courage but not overstated. You make sure your appearance shows that you are confident and capable of performing the job description. This same principle applies to the stationery you use for your business. Often times this is the first thing a client or customer will see about your business. What do you want it to say about your products?

Top Networking Marketing Opportunities Is There Such A Thing?
Top networking marketing opportunities, also known as multi-level marketing opportunities, run rampant on todayÂs Internet. YouÂve no doubt received some kind of solicitous e-mail or seen some kind of advertisement in the margins of a web site youÂve visited that talks about amazingly easy ways to earn thousands of dollars with a simple home based business.
The truth behind many of these top networking marketing opportunities is that they are using the sign-up fees from new members to pay dividends to existing members rather than actually generating any revenue from legitimate products and services. So no matter how much money they promise to make for you, if you canÂt see discernibleable product or service of value involved in the opportunity, you can assume that this is one of those top networking marketing opportunities that is actually an out and out scam.
The truth is that for many of these top networking marketing opportunities, only one out of every fifty or a hundred people who get involved actually make the kind of returns that the opportunity dangles as a carrot in front of you. In fact, the actual numbers might be far less than this. ItÂs never as simple as pay for the secrets and start raking it in right away. Anyone who does make returns on these so-called top networking opportunities work hard to sign up plenty of other affiliates, many more than the itÂs so easy testimonials make it sound like you need.
When you come across one of the top networking marketing opportunities on the internet, guaranteed to help you retire and live easy within a year, be wary. Do your research and find out what people who have been involved in these opportunities actually have to say about their results. Make sure you research these opportunities on objective third party sites, not testimonials on the opportunityÂs home page. Keep your common sense, and good luck!
